Converting years to days and hours
The conversion of years [yr] to days [d] and hours [h] is best explained with an example. We will use 1.5 years [yr] as the starting point for our calculation example. The number to the left of the decimal point is the integer part, which in this example is 547. This number can be taken unchanged and corresponds to the final result of 547 days [d]. The number to the right of the decimal point must still be converted into hours [h] by multiplying it by 24. 0.875 * 24 equals 21 hours [h]. In total, 1.5 years [yr] correspond to 547 days [d] and 21 hours [h].
