Converting years into hours and minutes

The conversion of years [yr] into hours [h] and minutes [min] is best explained with an example. We will use 1.3 years [yr] as the starting point for our calculation example. First, this value is multiplied by (365.25 * 24) to calculate the number of decimal hours. The result of this calculation is 11.395.8 decimal hours. The number to the left of the decimal point is the integer part, which in this example is 11,395. This number can be taken unchanged and corresponds to the final result of 11,395 hours [h]. The number to the right of the decimal point must still be converted into minutes [min] by multiplying it by 60. So 0.8 * 60 equals 48 minutes [min]. In total, 1.3 years [yr] correspond to 11,395 hours [h] and 48 minutes [min].

Convert hours and minutes to years

To convert hours [h] and minutes [min] to years [yr] , multiply the hours [h] by 60 and add them to the minutes [min]. The result of this calculation must then be divided by (1,440 * 365.25).
