Converting years into minutes and seconds

As an example for the conversion, we will use 1.07 years [yr]. First, this value is multiplied by (365.25 * 24 * 60) to calculate the number of decimal minutes. The result is 562,777.2 decimal minutes. The number to the left of the decimal point is the integer part, which in this example is 562,777. This number can be taken unchanged and corresponds to the final result of 562,777 minutes [min]. The number to the right of the decimal point must still be converted into seconds [s] by multiplying it by 60. 0.2 * 60 equals 12 seconds [s]. In total, 1.07 years [yr] correspond to 562,777 minutes [min] and 12 seconds [s].

Converting minutes and seconds to years

To convert minutes [min] and seconds [s] to years [yr] first multiply the value in minutes [min] by 60 and then add the value in seconds [s] to it. The result of this calculation must then be divided by (86,400 * 365.25).
