Converting months into days and hours

The conversion of months [mo] into days [d] and hours [h] is best explained with an example. The starting point for the calculation example is 1.2 months [mo]. First, this value is multiplied by 30.4375 to calculate the number of decimal days. The result of this calculation is 36.525 decimal days. The number to the left of the decimal point is the integer part, which in this example is 36. This number can be taken unchanged and corresponds to the final result of 36 days [d]. The number to the right of the decimal point must still be converted into hours [h] by multiplying it by 24. 0.525 * 24 equals 12.6 hours [h]. In total, 1.2 months [mo] correspond to 36 days [d] and 12.6 hours [h].

Convert days and hours to months

To convert days [d] and hours [h] to months [mo], multiply the days [d] by 24 and add them to the hours [h]. The result of this calculation must then be divided by (24 * 30.4375).
