This force converter features 27 force units. This makes it possible to convert between internationally accepted force units as desired. All values are converted in real time and displayed with up to 20 decimal places, ensuring sufficient accuracy.
Two Steps to Your Result
Our force converter offers several input fields, each displaying the current unit symbol (for example, kN, N or dyn). To change a unit, simply click on the unit symbol and select your preferred measurement from the dropdown menu.
Once you have selected the desired units in the force converter, simply enter the value you want to convert. You can input numbers into any of the available fields. As soon as you enter a value in one field, all other fields will automatically update and display the converted results. Both the entered value and the calculated results are automatically rounded to the predefined number of decimal places.
At the bottom of the force converter, you will find two green buttons. The button on the right resets the converter to its default state. This restores all units, values, and decimal settings to their original configuration. The button on the left clears the current inputs by setting all values to zero, while keeping your selected units and decimal settings unchanged.
Conversion table for force units
A force is always expressed as a numerical value and a corresponding unit. A conversion table can be used to determine the value of the known force in another unit. There are many units of force that are rarely used in everyday life. These include, for example, long ton-force [ltf], decinewton [dN], and hectonewton [hN]. It is also rather unlikely that conversions will be made between a very small unit of force and a yottanewton [YN]. For this reason, it is not necessary to know all the calculation methods or conversion factors by heart. However, there are units of force that are used very frequently in everyday life. For example, newton [N], kilonewton [kN], or meganewton [MN]. For these units of force, it can be very helpful to know the calculation method and the conversion factor by heart.
Converting between newtons and millinewtons
Converting between newtons [N] and millinewtons [mN] is very simple. A conversion factor of 1,000 is used for the calculation. The value in newtons [N] multiplied by 1,000 gives the value in millinewtons [mN]. Dividing the value in millinewtons [mN] by 1,000 gives the value in newtons [N].

Converting newtons and kilonewtons
Newtons [N] and kilonewtons [kN] belong to the metric system of units, which makes conversion very easy. A conversion value of 1,000 is used for the calculation. The value in kilonewtons [kN] multiplied by 1,000 gives the value in newtons [N]. Dividing the value in newtons [N] by 1,000 gives the value in kilonewtons [kN].

Converting Newton and Meganewton
The prefix "mega" comes from the decimal system and is based on a power of ten with a value of 106. This value can be used to convert between newton [N] and meganewton [MN]. The value in meganewtons [MN] multiplied by 106 gives the value in newtons [N]. Dividing the value in newtons [N] by 106 gives the value in meganewtons [MN].

Converting meganewtons and kilonewtons
While the prefix "mega" corresponds to a value of 106, "kilo" stands for a value of 103. A meganewton [MN] is therefore a thousand times greater than a kilonewton [kN], which is also the conversion factor. The value in meganewtons [MN] multiplied by 1,000 gives the value in kilonewtons [kN]. Dividing the value in kilonewtons [kN] by 1,000 gives the value in meganewtons [MN].
