Converting days into hours and minutes

The conversion of days [d] into hours [h] and minutes [min] is best explained with an example. 1.2 days [d] are used as the starting point for the calculation example. First, this value is multiplied by * 24 to calculate the number of decimal hours. The result of this calculation is 28.8 decimal hours. The number to the left of the decimal point is the integer part, which in this example is 28. This number can be taken unchanged and corresponds to the final result of 28 hours [h]. The number to the right of the decimal point must still be converted into minutes [min] by multiplying it by 60. So 0.8 * 60 equals 48 minutes [min]. In total, 1.2 days [d] thus correspond to 28 hours [h] and 48 minutes [min]. [min].

Converting hours and minutes to days

To convert hours [h] and minutes [min] to days [d], multiply the hours [h] by 60 and add them to the minutes [min]. The result of this calculation must then be divided by 1,440.
