This power converter features 24 power units. This makes it possible to convert freely between Anglo-American, metric, and other power units. All power values are converted in real time and displayed with up to 20 decimal places, ensuring sufficient accuracy.
Two Steps to Your Result
Our power converter offers several input fields, each displaying the current unit symbol (for example, kW, PS or kcal/h). To change a unit, simply click on the unit symbol and select your preferred measurement from the dropdown menu.
Once you have selected the desired units in the power converter, simply enter the value you want to convert. You can input numbers into any of the available fields. As soon as you enter a value in one field, all other fields will automatically update and display the converted results. Both the entered value and the calculated results are automatically rounded to the predefined number of decimal places.
At the bottom of the power converter, you will find two green buttons. The button on the right resets the converter to its default state. This restores all units, values, and decimal settings to their original configuration. The button on the left clears the current inputs by setting all values to zero, while keeping your selected units and decimal settings unchanged.
Conversion table for power units
Mechanical and electrical power are always specified with a value and the corresponding unit. A conversion table allows the value of a known power to be converted into another unit. Example conversion: How many metric horsepower [PS] are in 150 kilowatts [kW]?. In most cases, a conversion table is used to determine the conversion value or calculation method for converting one unit of measurement into another. However, conversion tables are quite large and confusing, making them difficult for inexperienced users to understand.
The following tool offers a solution to this problem, allowing conversion values and calculation methods to be retrieved directly from the conversion table. The conversion table comprises a total of 24 units of measurement.

There are units of power that are rarely used in everyday life. These include, for example, electrical horsepower [hp(E)] and joules per minute [J/min]. It is also rather unlikely that conversions will be made between a very small unit of power and terawatts [TW]. For this reason, it is not necessary to know all conversion values by heart. However, there are units of power that are used very frequently in everyday life. Examples include watts [W], kilowatts [kW] and mechanical horsepower [HP]. Converting watts and kilowatts
Watts [W] and kilowatts [kW] are among the most important units of power that we use in our everyday lives. For this reason, it is important to know the calculation method and conversion value by heart. Since one kilowatt [kW] consists of 1,000 watts [W], a conversion value of 1,000 is used. The value in kilowatts [kW] multiplied by 1,000 gives the value in watts [W]. If the value in watts[W] is divided by 1,000, the result is the value in kilowatts [kW].

A rounded conversion value of 1.3596 can be used to convert between the two units. The value in kilowatts [kW] multiplied by 1.3596 gives the value in horsepower [HP]. Dividing the value in horsepower [HP] by 1.3596 gives the value in kilowatts [kW].
